Opening Ceremony of the "Natural Rubber Processing Machinery Innovation Center"

On the morning of February 15, 2017, the "Natural Rubber Processing Machinery Innovation Center" was inaugurated, jointly established by the Institute of Agricultural Machinery of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences and Zhanjiang WEIDA Machinery Industrial Co., Ltd. (WEIDA). The unveiling and signing ceremonies were held concurrently.

This cooperation provides strong technical support for upgrading the performance of natural rubber primary processing equipment, developing new products, and accelerating the industrialization of advanced natural rubber processing technologies. It actively promotes innovation across the industry and is a significant step toward making China a leader in natural rubber processing technology worldwide.

The collaboration has enhanced research capabilities and the skills of technical personnel, facilitating work such as data collection and plan validation, and proving effective in practice. The project’s rigorous technical and applicability requirements for new equipment have improved the professional standards and organizational management of both the company and its partners.

The establishment of the innovation center will further advance China’s natural rubber processing technology, raise the overall technical level of the industry, and provide strong support for the sustainable development of the rubber sector.
